KERBS AND EDGING SERVICES FOR DRIVEWAYS AND PATIOS

Kerb edgings are valuable in the aesthetic and practical functions they perform, which make them essential to any driveway or landscaping project. These key functions include: Maintaining the physical integrity of the driveway or paving they frame – ensuring pavers remain in place and do not lose their load-bearing capability. Improving the overall appearance of the paving project – complementing other existing features and the pavers used or in contrast with the other materials used. Dividing distinct areas of the driveway or landscape such as turf or flower beds. Aiding the direction of surface water runoff into drainage systems in order to prevent flood damage and related safety risks.
The primary function of the retaining edge course is that it must be able to withstand the lateral pressures exerted on the paving. In order to achieve this most effectively, we never fail to lay the kerbs and edgings onto a mass concrete bed to ensure they are laid to the required surface level and are aligned before laying the body of the paving.
